Global Surgery Design Challenge

Our team, consisting of five junior Biomedical Engineers at Johns Hopkins University, participated in the Global Surgery Design Challenge on September 1-3 at Johns Hopkins University. The event, hosted by CBID, allowed students to complete the entire design process from start to finish.

"We are bringing in experts in Surgery, Ob-gyn, Ortho, Design, Public Health, and Global Health to work with your teams in person," said CBID faculty in preparation for the event. The projects aimed to improve upon the Bellwether procedures which include Laparotomy, Cesarian Sections, and Open Fracture Reduction.

This project was a great way to kick off the year!
